What vaccinations does my dog have to have?
- We require rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccinations to be current. Bordetella is not
a routine vaccination and you may have to ask your veterinarian to give it to your dog. It is also known as kennel cough.
How far in advance
do I need to make a reservation?
- To be sure you
get the reservation you need call at least a couple days in advance. We do typically have room for last minute reservations
also. During busy holidays we ask that you do call further in advance to ensure we have room.
Where does my dog stay
while at your kennel?
- Your dog will have their own 4'
X 8' indoor kennel, or we have 8' X 8' kennels for dogs from the same family that will be sharing. We also
have six 300 square foot runs outside. You are more than welcome to come and visit us before your dogs stay to
have a look for yourself.
What do I need to bring for my dog?
1. We need a copy of their current vaccinations. Either bring them in with you or have
them faxed from your vet beforehand.
2. Anything
you want to put in the kennel is up to you to bring (blankets, chew toys, etc.).
3. Their food if you don't want to switch them while they are here. We feed a basic adult
maintenance dry food.
What will my dog do on a typical day?
- They
have their own indoor kennels and will be let out into the outdoor runs 3-4 times a day to run around and do their "business".
They are outside for 20-30 minutes each time (sometimes longer). We do not mix the dogs together due to the different
temperaments and personalities of each dog, however they get a lot of human interaction throughout the day.
My dog is on medication, will you give it to them?
- No problem, just let us know the easiest way to give it to them (peanut butter, cheese, bread,
etc.) and we will do it free of charge.
