Frequently Asked Questions

We require that rabies, distemper, and bordetella (also known as “kennel cough”) vaccinations be administered at least 10 days prior to boarding.  Because bordetella isn’t a routine vaccination, you might have to request it from your veterinarian.

How far ahead should I make a reservation?

Generally, we require a couple of days advance notice. We do typically have room for last-minute reservations, but, especially during the holidays, we ask for more notice to ensure we have room.

What vaccinations should my dog have?

What are the accommodations like?

Your dog(s) will have their own 4’X6”, 4’X8’, or 8’X8’ kennel inside, depending on the size of your family, and outside we’ve got thirteen 300 square-foot runs that they are let out into 3 times a day.  We never mix dogs from different families together. Feel free to come and visit and have a look around before making a reservation, or take a look at our facility page for more information.

What should my dog and I bring with us?

  • We need a copy of their current vaccinations. You can either bring them with you, or have your veterinarian fax them beforehand.

  • Anything you want to put in the kennel (blankets, chew toys, etc.)

  • Bring their regular food, if you don’t want to switch. We feed a basic adult maintenance dry food.

What's a typical day like?

Your dog will have their own indoor kennel, and be let into the outdoor runs three-four times a day, to run and do their “business.” Each outdoor trip lasts 20-30 minutes, weather permitting. Because of different temperaments and personalities, we don’t allow the dogs to mix; however, they do get a lot of human interaction throughout the day.

Will you give my dog their medication?

Absolutely! Just let us know the easiest way to give it to them (peanut butter, cheese, bread, etc.), and we’ll do it free of charge.
